easy- carry it by hand and keep it in your trunk, as long as the weather doesn’t get too cold. I have never used anything to transport my tack, except if you would count a cheap saddle cover.

As for your bridle- only use it on one horse with a bit the horse is used to. If you switch around bits and bridles, you may get one that does not fit the horse correctly or make most of the lesson getting a horse used to a new bit instead of working on what lessons on school horses are supposed to do- work on you.

for the saddle you really cant find anything for it! but for all you bridles and brushes and other horse tack you can use a rubbermaid tote thats what i use and it works really well!!!

Cheapest way? Carry it as it is.

I personally would invest in a saddle bag and bridle bag. The saddle bag will carry the saddle, girth and pad; the bridle bag will of course carry the bridle.

This will make it easier.. but its not the cheapest!!

You may have a bigger problem than just storage.

I hope you realize that saddles are not one-size-fits-all. Saddles are like shoes, they can be horrible if they don’t fit correctly. They have to be sized to the horse, and the rider.

I must have tried 20 saddles on my horse before I found one that fit us both correctly. Some saddles are adjustable, but they tend to be very expensive.

Bridles and headstalls come in different sizes as well.

As for storage, you shouldn’t put your used saddle or tack into any airtight container, or you’ll get mold. The best options would be a breathable saddle cover, a duffle bag for bridles, girths, halters and pads, and a plastic tool tote for any grooming products. You could even put these into a 5 gallon bucket.

Most of your tack may be wet or damp after lessons, and it’s best to store on racks so they can dry properly.

You could leave it in the car trunk, but moisture, heat and freezing are all hard on leather.

Walmart has the coolest rubbermaid storage units that have wheels on the bottom. I use one of those at shows to haul all my stuff. (Well most of it).

The other thing I use is a rolling bale bag that you can find in any horse supply catalog.

Anything with wheels works pretty much.

I haven’t tried it for a saddle, I ride westn, but I keep everything else in those huge rubbermaid tubs.
